The Us Equation is a place where we are real and authentic about our journey to create a more fulfilling marriage built on unity. We believe that marriage was created to be amazing, yet it seems that there are fewer marriages that would be labeled that way.
We want to share real stories, exercises, information or even just a good laugh to help you experience a marriage that is at least 1% more fulfilling. We’re giving you a peek into our journey and sharing what we are learning along the way.

And How Do They
Know About This Stuff?
We are a married couple (since 2016) who learned about building a unified marriage because we had too. Like so many of you, we quickly realized one thing…. Marriage is tough.
We were enjoying our marriage, and our wedding almost getting canceled due to hurricane Matthew couldn’t even ruin our joy. We were simply excited to be married – but sometimes life just hits, and it hits hard.
It wasn’t long before we would hit our first major hurdle. Within a week of returning from our honeymoon, Bradley was laid off from his job and our income was cut in half.
This could have been a terrible time in our life, but it wasn’t, thanks to our amazing community….
who helped us walk through this tumultuous time, together. In the midst of this storm, we had people in our lives who showed us how to come out the other end more unified, and in the process, transformed our marriage.
How The Us Equation Began
A Little Desire…
For A Big Change
The real power we found during this time was that focusing on unity helped our marriage not just survive the storm, but to thrive despite it. Building our marriage on unity allowed us to be completely open and honest about how we were feeling and to encourage and support each other in amazing ways.
Our goal with The Us Equation is simple: To share what we are learning about and doing to build unity in our marriage. It is remarkably easy to find “advice” on marriage and how to “spice things up” – But what has gotten harder to find is deep practical advice, that has worked for others, and that you can use in your own marriage.
This is where The Us Equation fits in and why we want it to be a community that encourages, teaches, and inspires you.
The amazing community of people around us encouraged us through the hard times, taught us how to seek unity, and inspired us to desire more for our marriage.
This is why we share what we are working on in our own marriage. In hopes that you have an authentic look into what is helping us build unity and experience a fulfilling marriage.
Why We Do What We Do
Hint: We don’t have
it all figured out.
Experiencing a fulfilling marriage is at the core of everything we do. We desire to experience something more, not simply settle for normal but to. And we want you to as well.
We don’t have everything figured out (or even most of it) but we are excitedly on the journey, together. We want to invite you along on this journey and learn from each other.
And if what we share helps you make your marriage 1% more fulfilling, then is it worth it to us.

We Love Music
Amanda loves country music and once starred as the lead singer in a music video (in highschool).
Bradley shamelessly enjoys radio top 40 hits and house beats. You’ll usually find him singing along with Adele in the car.
We Try To Be Healthy
Amanda is currently training to run a half marathon.
Bradley is simply happy to make it to the gym three times a week.

Amanda and I would have floundered in the face of my job loss or other storms if we didn’t have an amazing community to support us. They are the main reason we were able to move through that storm and into a new level of unity.
We want to help provide that same community for your marriage. No marriage can do it on their own, and we don’t want you to!
